Mielakids x Naramica

We held the first Miela Family event hosted by Naramica. We invited mothers whom we consider to be a part of our beloved Miela Family. We told them the story of our "Mom" coffee mug and redesigned it together. I would like to briefly touch upon the story of the Mom mug here as well. The Mom mug came into being as follows: I started a ceramics course when I was overwhelmed by responsibilities such as motherhood, work life, and home management, and the first product I made in the course was this mug. Afterwards, I liked it very much and the idea of selling this mug came to my mind. For some reason, I ended up connecting the hobby workshop, which I went to get away from work, to work :) Entrepreneurship is like that! Afterwards, I came back for a few more weeks, made these mugs, and took them to the store. The demand for these mugs gradually increased. We took photos of them and put them on our website, and started selling them from there as well. All of them are handmade, and the demand has now reached a point where I cannot make them in my 1.5-hour workshop day. For this reason, we have now entrusted this job to Sevde and her team.

Mom mugs are not just coffee mugs for us. They represent the time we, as mothers, set aside for ourselves. Therefore, their meaning is actually very significant!

When do we use this mug? When we put our baby to sleep, we drink a coffee with this mug to relax, or when we spend time with our close friends, we always have coffee mugs in our hands, accompanying our conversation. So, in fact, this mug means "Me Time" for us! Motherhood is a difficult but very beautiful journey, and on this journey, we must first not lose our self-compassion. It is very important for us to make time for ourselves because if we make time for ourselves, if we are happy, then our children are happy too... This hidden meaning, in addition to the ceramic coffee mug being handmade, is what truly adds value to the mug for us.
